We were watching some homesteading videos over this past weekend and stumbled upon this guy who is talking about meat glue (Transglutaminase) and how it’s being added to our deli meats without us knowing about it. We were stunned at even the term MEAT GLUE… now what in the world is meat glue?! So we do a google search and found some interesting videos on Youtube about this secret adhesive that restaurants and food chains are now using on their left over meats.

Our family doesn’t eat pork so when he heard that they use pork blood among other things in which to glue beef pieces together we were really perturbed!  Anyways, check this video out. It’s just another reason to homestead – at least you know what is in the food you’re eating!
