A legend in his own time, Jim Bridger was a daring mountain man who became famous for living wild and free in the west. During an Indian attack, Jim Bridger was shot with an arrowhead and  had no experience in removing them. Thus, the arrow head wasn’t removed until years later when Dr. Whitman came along and surgically removed the arrowhead.
