The Geneva Bible 1560 – The family heirloom book of books!

One of the most precious commodities the Oregon Trail travelers kept with them on their travels was the family Holy Bible. Published in 1560 the Geneva Bible was the primary Bible of 16th century Protestants escaping persecution from the queen and later brought to America on the Mayflower. The Geneva Bible was used by Shakespeare, Cromwell, John Knox, and John Bunyan, author of Pilgrim’s Progress, another favorite book of young and old for century’s to come!
